Services for Academies and Schools

We provide Internal Scrutiny services to a number of different schools and Academy Trusts. We can provide a simple health check audit which is in line with government recommendations or we can produce a bespoke report based on topics chosen by the Audit Committee of each school or Academy Trust.  The report will be delivered in advance of your Audit Committee meeting, and if you wish us to present or discuss our findings at that meeting then we would be happy to do so.

We have recently been partnering with a Multi Academy Trust to help implement their new Sage system. We were involved from the start and have helped to move data across between the existing system and the new system. We have also helped to set up the chart of accounts, and establish new processes which staff can follow easily. Having to contend with this alongside day to day duties, or year end accounts, can be a real challenge. We are happy to undertake projects of this nature so please get in touch to discuss this in more detail.

This is specific to Academy Trusts who are looking to add further schools. Due diligence involves reviewing the finances of the incoming school alongside an overview of processes and procedures. It is important to provide confidence to your Members and Trustees that taking on a new school is the right thing to do so investing in external due diligence is a positive course of action. When the auditors are due in there is never a shortage of schedules to produce, but the day job doesn't go away either! As such if you would like another pair of hands, even if it is just for a day or two, then we are more than happy to help in any way that we can. Likewise the annual budgeting process can put stress on an organisation but we are able to assist by setting up budget templates and spreadsheets to make the collation of data much clearer and straight forward.
